Mikey Musumeci is one of the best BJJ Black Belts. He approached the milestone as he was recently promoted to second and third-degree stripes on his BJJ black belt. He was being trained under the renowned Jiu-Jitsu grappler and coach Rubens‘Cobrinha’ Charles. After awarding the degree, Cobrinha congratulated him and appreciated him by saying ‘Well deserved’.
Cobrinha Charles shares the news on social media, where Musumeci exclaimed with joy, “I AM NOW THIRD-DEGREE BLACK BELTCH!!”
The announcement has come just off the back of Musumeci's decision to start his training under the BJJ expertise Cobrinha; he represents his academy as he goes in to grapple. It was a massive turn and will undoubtedly have a great influence on the professional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition and it will be exciting to glimpse the effect it puts on Musumeci’s grappling and other practitioners as well.
Musumeci changed the place and traveled to Professor Cobrinha BJJ to help his son Kennedy Maciel prepare for the advancing ADCC Trails. Even though it has been an uncommonly short duration in the middle of the training sessions and competition.
The current post of Rubens Cobrinha Charles spreads the utmost gratification as he states that he had promoted Mikey Musumeci to third-degree BJJ black belt. This has been shared on his official Instagram account, Musumeci added his words to the statement:
“I AM NOW THIRD-DEGREE BLACK BELTCH!! Today was a very special day for me. I received my second and third-degree stripes on my black belt from Professor Rubens ‘Cobrinha’ Charles. WHAT AN HONOR! I have been training jiu-jitsu for 23 years and now am a black belt for almost a decade (received my Black Belt at 18 years old) I’ve had many ups and downs, great memories, and heartbreaks but I am still here training and learning! Jiu-jitsu is a big part of my life and will always be. Thank you to everyone who has helped me get to this point and has been a part of this journey. I could not have done it without every one of you. God bless everyone. Mashallah!!”
