2. Talita Alencar’s Biography
Talita Alencar is a highly talented black belt in jiu-jitsu. She also represented the GF team and secured numerous winning titles in BJJ competitions. She is currently serving as a significant part of Alliance Academy.
2.1. Talita Alencar’s Early Life Phase
Talita Alencar was born on 17th October 1990 in Brazil. Just like the other BJJ children, Alencar had an innate passion for sports so she first practiced swimming at the age of 4. She kept her passion for a long time and learned different sports including skating, surfing, triathlon, and capoeira.
2.2. Talita Alencar’s Rising Interest in Helio’s Activity
When Talita Alencar was 9 years old, she moved to Fortaleza with her family. When she was in her teenage, she had a relationship with Hélio Mourão, a fourth-degree black belt in jiu-jitsu. While she was dating Mourão, she lost her passion for triathlon and started practicing grappling. In 2004, Alencar was enrolled in her first jiu-jitsu classes at Pirillo Roriz Institute.
2.3. Talita Alencar’s Achievements
Undoubtedly, Talita Alencar is categorized among the top female BJJ grapplers. Alencar defeated various renowned grapplers in top BJJ tournaments as she defeated Naomi Martin and became a Pro Champion in the European Championship. She also secured victory in the Flyweight Black Belt NoGi Title Championship and the Fight 2 Win Championship. Not only in grappling but Talita Alencar also experienced the victory in her first Mixed Martial Arts Fight. She competed against Staci Vega and secured victory by applying the Rear Naked Choke technique.
Alencar showed her exceptional grappling skills against the top female grapplers which include Catherine Perret, Taylor Sausser, Yasmine Wilson, Nathalie Ribeiro, Gabrielle McComb, and many more.
2.4. Blue Belt Rank
After ending her relationship with Helio, Alencar started taking coaching classes at the Academia Blec under the supervision of Bruno Leandro. Bruno was one of the top grappling instructors who transformed her into a pro blue belt.
2.5. Training at Theodoro Canal‘s Institute
Talita Alencar never stopped her learning sessions so she became a part of GF Team Recreio at Theodoro Canal‘s Institute. Alencar worked hard and learned the advanced BJJ techniques. Based on her learning, Alencar was promoted to the purple belt after 4 years.
2.6. Talita Alencar’s Black Belt Rank
After winning gold at the 2016 IBJJF World Championship, Alencar secured the black belt under the supervision of Júlio César Pereira.
2.7. Alliance Academy’s Proposal
In August 2016, Alliance Academy sent a proposal to Talita Alencar in which she was asked to join their headquarters for teaching in California.
2.8. Talita Alencar’s MMA Career
Alencar pursued her MMA career and started training under UFC veterans, Charles Rosa and Charles McCarthy. In 2021, She did her first pro-MMA bout in the main card of Titan FC 70, held in Miami. Alencar’s achievements helped her get a UFC contract. On Dec 09, 2023, at UFC Fight Night 233, She won the fight with Rayanne dos Santos via split decision.

In the 2021 Titan FC 70 Championship, multi-time IBJJF world champion, Talita Alencar faced the Staci Vega. Both grapplers tried hard for submission but at the end of the match, Alencar successfully attempted the Rear Naked Choke technique and secured the winning title.
