Biography

Isaiah “SpyderWebz” Hearn is a 11 year old orange belt who competes in the 80-90 lbs weight divisions. He trains 5 days a week, which includes competition training. He started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu when he was just 5 years old. 6 year later and he still loves every aspects of this martial art. He is an honor student, and a great lead by example kind of kid to his peers. He is a very seasoned and active competitor, with many tournaments under his belt, and with many of those tournaments spread throughout the United States. He is very excited for his future, and can’t wait to represent Team Elite to the very fullest!

Question: Any major accomplishments you’ve been able to achieve in that time?

Answer: I placed in the ibjjf pan ams the very first time I competed in it, and I was invited to the BFA event in Dallas, TX.

Question: Who inspires you, past or present? Why do they inspire you?

Answer: My dad inspires me because he's always pushed me to go the extra mile at jiu jitsu practice and at school

Question: What are your goals for this year? Next 3 years? Next 5 years?

Answer: My goals for this year is to pass on to 6th grade, train as much as I can and meet new friends at tournaments. My goal in the next 3 years is to promote to my next belt level. My goal for the next 5 years is to do as many tourneys as I can and meet new friends.

Question: What inspires you about BJJ? MMA?

Answer: I have always wanted to become a black belt, so me wanting to accomplish that is what really pushes me.

Question: How long have you been training?

Answer: I have been training for 6 years.

Question: How often do you train?

Answer: I train 5 days a week

Question: What do you think it takes to be a champion in your sports?

Answer: I think it's takes skill, strategy, and a love for the sport.

Question: Do you have a go-to finishing move?

Answer: My favorite finishing move is the Kimora.

Question: What is the meaning of success in your mind?

Answer: Achievment of goals and success in BJJ World.

Question: What sort of gear do you usually keep in your gym bag before hitting the gym? Do you have different items for specific days?

Answer: I usually keep my GI, my Belt, a training journal, and a Protein Drink.
