In 2008, the World MMA Awards were presented in Fighters Only magazine. The CEO of Fighters Only magazine and the creator of the World MMA Awards is Rob Hewitt. As of now, 14 award shows have been conducted with 22 award categories. Nominees are selected by the industrial panel and then winners are selected based on votes from the general public.
