UFC Legend Chuck Lidell Claims He’s The Victim of Domestic Violence

In a surprising turn of events, authorities have revealed that the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck Lidell, who was arrested early Monday morning on a domestic violence charge, has opened up after arrests, telling the officers that the victim of the domestic violence, was in fact, Chuck Lidell himself.

As per Chuck’s account, his wife, Heidi was the one who was assaulting him and in order to ensure that she wasn’t arrested, he decided to turn himself in instead.

The authorities corroborate with a statement made by the former champion who said that he had specifically asked the officers at the scene whether his wife could stay at their home with a minor as he was being handcuffed.

In one of the only few statements made by Lidell, he said "this was one of the many times I have tried to shield a family mental health issue from the public purview. It has become painfully apparent that this cannot continue, as our private life has now reached a public breaking point."

Liddell was taken to jail and the bail was set at $20,000. Initially thought to be the victim, Heidi was found unharmed and did not require medical attention while the champ was detained.

The incident that happened in the Hidden Hills home, as reported by the L.A. Sherriff’s Department, states that Chuck and Heidi had apparently come back from a party and had a verbal argument that turned physical.

After posting bail and coming out, Liddell chose not to respond to any questions but raised his fist up high as an acknowledgment to the reporters who saw him ride off in his Mercedes-Benz.

Chuck Lidell is a former UFC Light Heavyweight champion who, in his prime, secured notable victories over some of the toughest opponents in the era. With 30 fights, 21 wins and 9 losses, Chuck managed to make a name for himself in the UFC and MMA scenes.
