Marcelo Garcia, a renowned Brazilian fighter and 4th-degree black belt returned to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training after his health recovery. He was suffering from stomach cancer and passed via various chemotherapy sessions and oesophageal surgery in New York. His last Chemotherapy session was on September 7, 2023. Due to his sickness, he was away from the BJJ training for one year. Now Marcelo is pleased after rejoining the sparring on mats. Marcelo shared the news of his comeback with his fans via his official Instagram account:
‘’So, finally, the day has come. It has been 11 months, almost a year since I don’t trained in Jiu-Jitsu. I’m just excited to see how everything is gonna go, I hope to get back to as normal as possible, I just can’t wait’’
After spending some quality time on BJJ training, Marcelo expressed his happiness and also acknowledged his fans for their continuous support. Marcelo also said that he is feeling quite normal after his comeback to BJJ training.
