She took many classes, and competed in some tournaments as a white belt for almost two years before receiving a blue belt. At 19 years old she had to leave BJJ for several reasons. Some reasons include becoming a mother, lacking money to pay the BJJ school. Social life became a higher priority. She indulged in alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs for several years.

She competed in many tournaments in UK, but unfortunately, she had to return to Brazil after her visa expired.
In Brazil, she continued to train BJJ and competed in all major IBBJF tournaments for the next four years. Subsequently, she earned a purple belt, won two Brazilians No-Gi titles, competing always for Gracie Barra School.
