Biography

My name is Keith Pecora, I started taking karate about 6-7 years ago. Karate has helped me a lot throughout the years to help me defend myself, it’s also helped me find Brazilian jiu jitsu. I’ve been in Brazilian jiu jitsu for a year and just received my blue belt under George Oiler, my journey is martial arts has just begun and I am sticking with it to sometime be in the cage.

Question: What inspires you about BJJ? MMA?

Answer: To be able to express my self and clear my mind, it helps me flow and be creative with the art of jiu jitsu.

Question: Who is your favorite legendary fighter?

Answer: George Oiler, Jerad Oiler and Chris McKinney.

Question: What would be your dream fight?

Answer: My Debut fight in UFC.

Question: How long have you been training?

Answer: I’ve trained in karate for about 6-7 years and BJJ for a year

Question: What do you think it takes to be a champion in your sports?

Answer: Dedication, hard work, and consistency.

Question: Who inspires you, past or present? Why do they inspire you?

Answer: George Oiler, Jerad Oiler, Chris McKinney, and Robert st Clair, and all the people who have said “you’ll never amount to anything.” The reason those guys inspire me is because they are the definition of hard work paying off. They’ve all trained hard, and look at where they are at winning Chanpionships, mma matches, Boxing matches etc.

Question: How often do you train?

Answer: 4-6 days a week

Question: Any major accomplishments you’ve been able to achieve in that time?

Answer: Biggest accomplishment is getting my first-degree black belt in the art of Shotokan karate and being one of the youngest my sensei has ever promoted, and getting my blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Question: Do you have a go-to finishing move?

Answer: I really don’t have a go-to move, I just like to settle back and flow with the other person and wait for them to make a mistake and capitalize on it.

Question: What are your goals for this year? Next 3 years? Next 5 years?

Answer: My goals for the upcoming years is to be consistent as possible with all my training and by 18 years old hopefully make a MMA debut.

Question: What sort of gear do you usually keep in your gym bag before hitting the gym? Do you have different items for specific days?

Answer: I usually have Elite GI, Boxing Gloves, MMA Shorts, Spats, Rash guards, and sometimes Wrestling shoes to be able to practice anything at anytime
