Marcus Vinicius Ribeiro is a highly skilled black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Marcus has earned a reputation as one of the top super-heavyweight BJJ athletes of his generation.

2.1. Marcus Vinicius’s Early Life

Marcus Vinicius Ribeiro was born on 17 November 1996 in Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil. Initially, his interest developed in jiu-jitsu due to his school friend who always talked about their training and experiences in the martial art. Marcus had a strong curiosity regarding grappling. In 2010, when Marcus was just 13 to 14 years old, he started his first class in BJJ and learned about the basic skills of Jiu-Jitsu.

2.2. Marcus Earned the Blue Belt

Marcus was trained under the supervision of Luciano Marcos who developed the best athletic skills in him. After getting trained for 2 years, Marcus earned his blue belt after showcasing his unforgettable grappling skills in various BJJ tournaments.

2.3. Marcus joined the Alliance Jiu-Jitsu Academy

After some time, Marcus joined Alliance Jiu-Jitsu Academy and trained under Rodolfo Ionta. Marcus learned various advanced Jiu-Jitsu skills at the team’s affiliate gym, Alliance Mooca. Marcus got the splendid chance to improve his fighting expertise as Alliance Mocca is undoubtedly a great grappling institute with various top names of coaches including Rodrigo Siqueira, Luciano Nucci, and Juan Kamezawa.

Marcus also worked with supreme-level athletes including Guilherme Augusto and Dimitrius Souza. His BJJ learnings assisted him in conquering multiple winning titles including the Brazilian Nationals, European Open Championship, Pan Championship, and World Championship.

On 10 June 2019, an award ceremony was held in which Marcus Vinicius was awarded a black belt under Luciano Nucci.
