Very happy with how it turned out. $1.99/lb of bedding, towels and clothes from the Goodwill Outlet store worked well with us. Stuffing it wasn't too bad. I'm pleased to have it as a new white belt looking to improve.
Frames defensively. More realistic positioning than the standard straight limbed dummies. The ability to sit it up and work guard is something you can’t find anywhere else
The elastic cord is the best thing the bjj practice dummy comes with. It actually provides resistance, giving you the feel as if you are physically training with a competitor.
Great grappling dummy. My last one just flopped over and laid on the ground. This one keeps realistic jiujitsu posture. The head strap is an added bonus.
Really happy with my grappling dummy, great value for money. Does exactly what you need it to do without breaking the bank. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to train at home without spending a fortune.
Got this grappling dummy (unfilled) for my partner for Christmas. It's great! Perfect size for her and she's 5'9". I filled it with cut up clothing, blankets, pillows etc. It's weighs a good amount for her (it's probably 40-50lbs). We can make it heavier with different fillings once she gets used to tossing it around.
Love these! We own a MMA gym, and these are great to have around. We bought two adult ones. Next we need two of the youth ones. These are essential to growth. There's not always a willing person to get strangled or arm barred 100 times. These dummies love it.
Great tool to help a beginner like myself learn and develop my skills set with both Krav Maga and MMA great construction solid materials and craftsmanship highly recommend buying one for yourself
Ordered the dummy and a gi on the same order, got to my door in about 3 days. 1 or 2 days ahead of their scheduled delivery. I got dozens of cheap pairs of yard sale jeans and old work shirts. Cut the jeans up to make it heavier, I could always add some sand to make it even heavier but just packed moderately tight with clothes I got it 50+ lbs. Works as it should. I also had no idea it had a hook to hang it up and I already have several boxing devices in my carport, this has been great to add to that as well. I’ve been bombing body shots and leg/body kicks, and you can work pulling the arms down/ punching them out of position to land punches through a guard. Love that it has feet and wrists to work toeholds, heel hooks, wrist locks. The neck is nice and thick once you pack it tight so if you get good at deep chokes on the dummy an average guys neck will be a breeze! Haha
I can't recommend this to everyone, because it won't be helpful to everyone. However, it does want I wanted it to do. It allows me to drill some moves when I feel inspired, usually from consuming BJJ content at home. I feel like it provides 80% of the usefullness of a drilling partner. I filled mine with old clothes and towels, and it weighs somewhere between 20-30 lbs, which I prefer over buying lightweight polyfill. It takes ALOT of clothes, and filling up the hands and feet were difficult.
Another benefit for me is the way I filled it caused it to be a thick dummy. I could barely fit my friend's old gi over it, and he is 5'8" for reference. The dummy's thickness makes the drills more realistic for me since I'm only 5'6" and usually roll with bigger guys.
Very good dummy for jiu-jitsu look forward to drilling with it. I would suggest getting a Gi that is larger than A4 that way it can fit over the dummy easily.
According to my son the white lining annoying, it hurt him doing his practice grappling, head kinda fat and arms a little bit short from his own perspective.
For the price, you’re getting a really good quality dummy, I thought it would be a bigger headache to fill the dummy, but it was actually fairly easy as well! I stuffed mine well, and was able to put on an A4 Gi
