Biography

He is a former Hierarchy Flyweight champion, been training and competing off and on since 2007. His last MMA bout was in 2015 but he has been actively searching since, getting fights in Michigan has become a bit tougher with a large record and new regulations. He loves training, playing soccer and of course rescuing animals, He has worked with Michigan Rabbit Rescue in the past and have 3 dogs of his own along with his 5 rabbits.

Question: Who inspires you, past or present? Why do they inspire you?

Answer: My grandparents inspire me, they’ve both fought through and continue to fight through various health issues and my grandma is a Breast cancer survivor. It makes getting punched in the face pale in comparison.

Question: What inspires you about BJJ? MMA?

Answer: The competition, it’s an amazing way to work with a team towards a common goal yet be a sole competitor.

Question: Do you have a go-to finishing move?

Answer: I’ve won all my MMA fights by the same move, Guillotine

Question: What are your goals for this year? Next 3 years? Next 5 years?

Answer: Professional fighter with a winning record and minimum blue belt, as far as 5 years goes I’m unsure, I’d like to see myself to 3 years first.

Question: What do you think it takes to be a champion in your sports?

Answer: Drive, mentality, intelligence and will power

Question: How long have you been training?

Answer: Since 2007

Question: What is the meaning of success in your mind?

Answer: Obviously to achieve my goals is ultimate success for me

Question: Any major accomplishments you’ve been able to achieve in that time?

Answer: Flyweight Championship and won various local grappling tournaments

Question: How often do you train?

Answer: 5-6 days a week

Question: What sort of gear do you usually keep in your gym bag before hitting the gym? Do you have different items for specific days?

Answer: I keep all of my gear in my bag at all times, you never know what could pop up, shin guards, gloves, cup, rash guards, shirts, shorts. I’m always prepared for everything, oh and of course wrestling shoes and running shoes, it’s a big bag.
