Biography:

HI my name is Romana, I am 39 years old, married with a man that supports me in every step of my career, and I am a mother of 4 children. I been training jiu jitsu for 3 years and half and has become part of my life. I fight for Gfteam and my dreams are to become a Masters World Champion and fight in the mats of abu Dabhi grand slam and I do train very hard to get to that one day. I study Criminal Justice in San Antonio Texas and I train at Ohana Stone Oak Academy under Bruno Alves and Jason Yeringron.I am a Blue belt since december 2017 and I would love to become a Professor and inspire others..

Question:: What will you suggest to the newcomers?

Answer: I will let then know to first love the sport and understand it will take time and alot of sacrifices and to never give up.

Question: What does it mean to be a fighter?

Answer:Being a fighter means the world to me, the moment stepping on the mats I feel so happy and to know that a woman is capable of doing what many said is only for men, makes me feel proud to be a woman who loved to become a fighter and to fight for one of top 5 teams in the world..

Question What are essential things for training?

Answer:The most essential thing during training is to never stop and liaten to every instruction from the Professor, to believe in what they are making of you when you give your heart to the sport..

Question: What seperate you form every other fighter in your division?

Answer:? I do not feel anything separates me from any other fighter, everyone puts their heart to it and give everything to become a successful jiu jitsu fighter, everyone deserves to succeed.

Question: What is the meaninhg of success in your mind?

Answer:The meaning of success in my mind is to always open up your heart and accept tgere will be failures that will stop you but by succeeding you need to keep moving forward and use any failure to make you grow stronger and fighting to reach to the top.

Question: With whom you would like to fight?

Answer:I would love to fight with any one, I do admire every single women that choose this sport and always try to do their best..

Question: Is there any difference b/w your common days diet and during compe trining diet?

Answer:I being always middle weight, keeping my weight for all this 3 years has been one of the most challenging things I had ever done..

Question: Is martial art necessary for a common person?

Answer: Martial arts is necessary to any one no matter age, gender or sizes. Everyone is capable to do great in martial arts.

Question: How does a beginner will prepare for the competition? Any advice for beginners?

Answer:The way I believe is to have no breaks, Champions do not want to take vacations, to compete any one needs to train every single day. I do train between 8 to 11 classes a week depending the schedule during competitions days and I love it, no breaks

Question: What should we learn from the legends /or from the seniors? Who is your inspiration?

Answer:What I always admire from my mma idols are their sacrifices done to become what they are now, my dream is to become the best in the world in my category and inspire others.

Question: How is it helpful to have the information about your competitor?

Answer: I believe knowing about other competitors is important to understand their goals their dreams and help them achieve them..

Question: How Martial arts helps to build leaders?

Answer: Martial Arts will help you get knowledge and pass it to the future competitors, sharing jiu jitsu to others is one of the best things I do, passing what my professors taught me is a blessing.

Question: Who is your favorite legendary fighter? Why?

Answer:Anna Caroline "baby" from Gfteam, she shows her passion in every moment for this sport and the way she inspire others is very special for me

Question: How much importance has the sports gear in any competition?

Answer:Sports gear is very important, the way it fits, how much it weight, and has to be IBJJF approve when I only fight for IBJJF competitions..
