Is this a Good First Gi?
Your first gi doesn’t need to be your most expensive one. It needs to fit, hold up to weekly training, and be legal if you plan to compete. A lot of people start with a gi like this one, or keep one as a spare in the gym bag. If you’re not sure about your academy’s rules, ask your coach about color before you buy.
Men’s gi sizing, A1 to A5
A sizes are our men’s scale. Elite uses its own sizing, and some reviewers found certain sizes run small, so please don’t order by the size you wear in another brand. Check your height and weight against the chart. If you’re between sizes or like a looser fit, go up.

Which color should you buy?
Black, white and blue are allowed at IBJJF tournaments. Green, navy, gray (grey), red, orange and yellow are for training. If you plan to compete, start with one of the three competition colors.
Fabric, fit and care
These gis are pre-shrunk, with sweat-wicking and anti-odor treatment. Wash cold and hang to dry to keep the fit. Our product care guide covers the rest.
30 days to get the size right
You can return or exchange within 30 days of receiving your order, as long as the gi is unused, unwashed and undamaged with the tags on. Send the belt back with the gi, because a $20 fee applies to a gi package returned without it. Clearance items can’t be returned. If the gi is the wrong one or defective, contact us within 10 days and we’ll send a prepaid label. One exchange is allowed per order, and the customer pays return shipping on an exchange.
