Irish Wonder Girl Maci Mae Crowned Another BJJ World Championship

A wonder girl who is just nine years old is make rounds on the internet getting fame around the world for her remarkable Jiu Jitsu combat skills. Recently, a world Brazilian Jiu Jitsu championship was held at Wolverhampton in both Gi and No Gi. Derry, while proving herself once again claimed the title and became the world champion for the first time, surprisingly at the age of just nine.

But even more surprising is that she has not gotten something extraordinary in Jiu Jitsu for the very first time. Previously, a national level BJJ tournament was held in Ireland. It was held in both 2024 and 2025. Maci competed in both of these championships and claimed both titles.

But she not only loves to compete in Jiu Jitsu. She is also a fan of kickboxing. Just like in BJJ, Maci has proved her competitiveness in kickboxing championships as well. In 2025, an Irish Iska championship was held in Ireland, which was also at the national level. She participated in the tournament and claimed the title. But that is not the only kickboxing championship she won. She was a member of the Irish national kickboxing team. Her team took part in the European kickboxing championships, in which she showcased her kickboxing skills in front of the world and got a bronze medal at the end of the tournament held in Malta.

Maci and her brother both started taking part in martial arts competitions and her brother also took part in the Elite Junior world championship which Maci won. Her brother also had a great tournament.

Maci, at a very young age, is impressing the world with her Jiu Jitsu and kickboxing skills and proving the world that age does not matter and you can also compete and be successful in two martial arts at the same time.
