She started in martial arts as a kid in karate to keep herself busy. After earning her blcak belt she was getting a little board with the mundane moves so she was looking for something knew. She started jiu-jitsu in January 2012, She was looking for something different that she could enjoy doing every day to keep her in shape. After 1 class in jiu-jitsu she knew this was for her! She have been training hard for 5 years and she is really focused on training hard and competing in preparation to win masters world's this year in Vegas. She recently just won the Dallas open and plan on competing in the Austin open in July just ahead of worlds in August.

Question: What inspires you about BJJ? MMA?
Answer: I love that BJJ never ends, its constantly evolving.
Question: Who inspires you, past or present? Why do they inspire you?
Answer: My mom inspires me, she never let's barriers stop her...she always finds ways to overcome challenges.
Question: How often do you train?
Answer: Usually about 5 days a week, 1.5 -2 hours of training per day.
Question: How long have you been training?
Answer: 5 years, going on 6
Question: What are your goals for this year? Next 3 years? Next 5 years?
Answer: This year I want to win world's, in 3 years I want to have my Brown and be pushing myself hard and hunting hard for my back belt in 5 - 6 years.
Question: What do you think it takes to be a champion in your sports?
Answer: Dedication, discipline and the mental strength to push through the days.
Question: Do you have a go-to finishing move?
Answer: No, I take whatever I can get or they give me. Half guard is my game though.
Question: To whom you would like to compliment for your success?
Answer: My Mom, she always support me and push to beyond my limits to overcome the obstacle.
Question: Any major accomplishments you’ve been able to achieve in that time?
Answer: Biggest one for me this far has been the 2017 Dallas Spring Open with the IBJJF
Question: Which moment is memorable for you in your past competitions?
Answer: When i won the 2017 Dallas Spring Open.
Question: What sort of gear do you usually keep in your gym bag before hitting the gym? Do you have different items for specific days?
Answer: I leave the same things in there everyday for "just incase". There's always a couple of extra hair ties, shorts, knee pads, tape, small hair brush, dry t-shirt for after training and of course a water bottle.
