Larry Wells
Biography
Larry Wells is an American Sport Karate World Champion. He is a member of the USA national Karate team and recently placed Bronze in Tuscany Italy. At a very young age Larry got involved in the martial arts, and with the tutelage from his father Larry Sr., 8th degree black belt in Tae kwon Do, he quickly became a top prospect in competitive martial arts.

Question: What inspires you about Sport Karate?
Answer: Going out there and being the best every time I step in the ring.
Question: Who inspires you, past or present? Why do they inspire you?
Answer: My niece, she recently lost her battle with lupus so I dedicate every match and tournament to her.
Question: What are your goals for this year? Next 3 years? Next 5 years?
Answer: I want to win as many major tournaments as possible this year. My goal for the next 3 to 5 years is to continue to perfect my craft and become successful at the highest level in the sport.
Question: How long have you been training?
Answer: 17 years
Question: How often do you train?
Answer: Everyday.
Question: Any major accomplishments you’ve been able to achieve in that time?
Answer: Different taekwondo competition won last year
Question: Do you have a go-to finishing move?
Answer: Jump spinning back kick.
Question: What do you think it takes to be a champion in your sports?
Answer: Shear passion and patience, try to improve your skills
Dedication, discipline and endurance.
Question: What sort of gear do you usually keep in your gym bag before hitting the gym? Do you have different items for specific days?
Answer: I keep my sparring equipment in my bag at all times. I also keep a set of mitts and a jump rope handy to get my heart rate up before jumping into the ring.
