Q&A Session Between Christopher grant Mckinney and Elite Sports

Question: What are your goals for this year? Next 3 years? Next 5 years?

Answer: My goal for the future is to leave everything I have in this game. I don't want to look back and think I could have done more. I don't want to look back and wish. Regardless of what I have accomplished or will accomplish, I want to know I reached my full potential.

Question: How long have you been training?

Answer: I've been doing BJJ for about 8-9 years. I wrestled through youth and high school. I have sort of been training my whole life in one way or another.

Question: Who inspires you, past or present? Why do they inspire you?

Answer: There's so many people to name. Of course my first coaches; Bryan Atterson and George Oiler. But there have been so many people that have touched my life and inspired throughout this journey. The list is endless, it includes the all the people that have believed me and all those that doubt me.

Question: What is the meaning of success near you?

Answer: My brown belt which is pure success near to me with the help of right persons.

Question: Which moment is memorable for you in your past?

Answer: When i achieved my brown belt rank. Beacuse it shows all my struggle to achieve at this point

Question: What inspires you about BJJ? MMA?

Answer: The unlimited creativity available to me. It's the way I can express myself and not have to hold back.

Question: How often do you train?

Answer: I train 4-6 days a week. It's just about listening to my body and finding the right training partners.

Question: What do you think it takes to be a champion in your sports?

Answer: Hard work and surrounding yourself around the right people. The two of those allow you to focus on your dreams.

Question: Any major accomplishments you’ve been able to achieve in that time?

Answer: Receiving my brown belt was my favorite achievable. I have won several amateur MMA titles, those were fun but they do not tell the story the brown belt tells. It's truly an elite club.

Question: Do you have a go-to finishing move?

Answer: No. I try to flow and just let my body take over. What ever comes, comes. I guess my go to finishing move is taking advantage of every available opportunity.

Question: What sort of gear do you usually keep in your gym bag before hitting the gym?

Answer: I keep my bag full of multiple Gi's, Elite Boxing gloves, MMA gloves, wrestling shoes and basically anything that will fit. I want to be able to train any aspect at anytime. I never want to miss out on an opportunity to train.
