Her name is Sue-Ann Ryerse her nickname is Monster She has been training in Brazilian jujitsu for 5 1/2 years now She has completed almost 40 times She has been on the podium over 70 times She has won 1 super fight championship belt 2 NAGA expert division belts and 3 grapplers quest women's absolute belts She have also won 2 NAGA World championship titles She completes all over Canada and the United States She train twice a day six days a week in BJJ and Judo and strength and conditioning She is currently a blue belt 3 stripe in BJJ and yellow belt in judo She first started competing in bodybuilding the made the switch over to Muay Thai and then into BJJ she love the sport it takes dedication Disciplinediscipline and hard work She is currently training out of 101 Academy BJJ and Hiro's Judo in Calgary Alberta Canada

Question: Any major accomplishments you’ve been able to achieve in that time?

Answer: some accomplishments I have done I have 6 championship titles belts I've done almost 40 tournaments and been on the podium over 70 times I compete all over the United States and Canada

Question: What inspires you about BJJ? MMA?

Answer: BJJ is like human chess you always have to think 3 moves ahead of your opponent. I fell in love with the sport.

Question: Who inspires you, past or present? Why do they inspire you?

Answer: I started training to get into the cage I had already done Muay Thai for 3 years prior to this my coach suggested I do a few tournaments to work on my ground game and that was it I loved it from then on I stopped training in Muay Thai and focussed on my time on strength conditioning and BJJ and now

Question: What are your goals for this year? Next 3 years? Next 5 years?

Answer: my goals are for the next year and 3 years are the same just to be the best I can be an accomplished everything I set out to do including winning the IBJJF World masters next year

Question: What would be your dream fight?

Answer: My next year IBJJF World masters competition, right now my complete focus is to win it.

Question: How often do you train?

Answer: I train 2x a day 6 days a week

Question: How long have you been training?

Answer: I have been training for a total of 5 1/2 years in grappling and 1 year in judo

Question: Do you have a go-to finishing move?

Answer: I have a finishing move I love to do the key lock

Question: What do you think it takes to be a champion in BJJ?

Answer: To make a champion in this sport it takes lots of training dedication and a great coach

Question: What sort of gear do you usually keep in your gym bag before hitting the gym? Do you have different items for specific days?

Answer: what sort of gear do I keep in my gym bag besides the usual mouth guard and my training gear depends if it's a BJJ or Judo Class but I always have hockey tape in my bag and disposable ice packs
