Jeff "Whispers" Boyd
Hi my name is Jeff Boyd some people call me Whispers or El Jeffe. As a child I was bullied a lot and at 10 years old I got into Japanese Goju Ryu for a brief time. It wasn’t until I was an adult that I got into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu because of being a survivor of Assault and Battery. Learning self-defense is what got me on the mats to begin with however that soon grew a passion for competitive sport BJJ. I discovered how therapeutic rolling was for the mind, body and soul. I started training at Apollos Martial Arts in 2011. I also trained for 2 years in MMA. I am now a Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under the RCJ Machado affiliation. I received my associate’s degree from ITT Technical Institute in 2011. I currently work for HP in IT. I also have 2 sons.
